Or maybe you want to launch a children’s magazine with a unique mascot? Then I would be happy to help you – whether for authors (including hobby authors), companies or publishers. Since I have also been working as a media designer for many years, layout design, text setting and cover design are no problem. Together with my editor, texts can even be corrected/edited, blurbs written and help with the story itself. At the end you will have the finished print file so that you can either have the book produced yourself at the printer of your choice or I can take care of the printing process for you. Of course, these days you also have the option of uploading the book as an eBook to various providers and distributing it online.

As a certified online marketing manager, I can also provide you with advice, plan marketing measures (even on a small scale) and help you market your book. If the marketing takes place on a larger scale (e.g. through influencers, book blogs, etc.), I have professional partners and salespeople at my side who can also help you.

Illustration style & experience as a children’s book illustrator

As a professional illustrator, I have been working in the illustration and design sector for over 10 years with a lot of heart, passion and the necessary knowledge. It’s not just about painting pretty pictures, there’s a lot more to it 😉 In order for the illustrations to be really convincing, attention must be paid to contrast, color, image structure, convincing character design, appropriate font/layout and much more. With the right know-how, many wonderful drawings, extraordinary children’s book illustrations, mascots for children’s magazines and complete children’s books in different styles have been created. These are usually created digitally with Adobe Photoshop and my XP Pen Artist 24 Pro or on the go on the iPad Pro 12.9 with Procreate, but sometimes also traditionally with ink and pen or with acrylic on canvas. No matter which type you choose, I would be happy to advise you. To layout the books I use the industry standard Adobe InDesign.

Despite the different styles, I have developed my own “favorite style”. Mostly very realistic-looking, with rich, bright colors, detailed characters and dynamic play of light and shadow. If I want it to be a little less detailed, I prefer the style of 90s cartoons, with cute characters, lovable characters and bright colors. But of course other styles are also possible, depending on what you prefer for your project.
