Project description
The third volume of Animorphs, Katherine Applegate’s bestselling series that has sold millions of copies worldwide, features a red-tailed hawk. I particularly enjoyed creating this cover illustration because these birds look so majestic 🙂
Here, too, a few thumbnails / preview views were created in advance to discuss the coloring, image composition and the position of the hawk. This time the original illustration is in green and stands out beautifully from the previous volumes. All the details, feathers and coloring took a lot of time, but the result is impressive 🙂
So far my personal favorite of the 3 volumes.
I’m really looking forward to illustrating the next books. You can be excited 😉

And with that they acquire all the abilities of this animal – enormous strength, the finest sense of smell, immense speed… But after two hours at the latest they have to morph back – otherwise they will remain in their animal form forever. Then there would be no hope in the fight against the Yirks. The earth would be lost.
